I am a qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique, professional drummer and drum teacher. I aim to pass on my enthusiasm for the process of learning and of listening.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am a qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique (AT). I teach the drum kit (all genres - Jazz, R&B, Brazilian etc). I give specialized lessons and workshops in the application of the Alexander Technique to drumming, a new approach to playing the drums.

What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching the Alexander Technique (AT) since qualifying in June 2009. I have been playing the drums from the age of 5 and the piano from age 7. I have been teaching the drums since 2006. I spent two years on the advanced course in the Kodaly Method run by British Kodaly Academy.
How much do you charge?
£30 for a 45 minute Alexander Technique lesson.
£135 for a course of 5 AT lessons . £260 or a course of 10 AT lessons.
£30 for an hour long drum lesson.
£135 for a course of 5 drum lessons. £260 for a course of 10 drum lessons.
Where do you teach?
I currently teach the Alexander Technique at the MovingArtsBase in Islington. I will travel to people in exceptional circumstances. I teach the drums from home in Arsenal, Islington, a short walk from Arsenal and Finsbury Park stations.
When are you available?
Monday - Friday: 9am - 9pm
Sundays: 9am - 6pm

I teach all ages and levels.

Where and with whom did you train?
I trained to be an AT teacher with Peter and Eleanor Ribeaux at the Centre for the Alexander Technique in Fulham, London. I have continued my professional development by studying with Nelly Ben-Or, international concert pianist, professor at the Guildhall School of Music and the leading exponent of the application of the Alexander Technique to piano playing. I studied jazz performance with trumpeter/educator Ian Carr for two years between ages of 16-18 at WAC in North London. I studied Jazz/Classical percussion for one year at the GSMD with Trevor Tomkins and David Corkhill. I studied the Moeller drum method with Bob Armstrong. I trained in the Kodaly musicianship method for 2 years on an advanced BKA course run by David and Yuko Vinden in London.
