Winning at Interviews: Tricks of the Trade
My Interview Philosophy: Some Tips and Tricks About four years ago, I attended my dreaded Cambridge interview. Sat in front of a panel of intimidating Dons, I was petrified, and had good reason to be. On my mind were some extraordinarily absurd, abstract and difficult questions previously asked by Dons such as: 'Unwrap this banana with your...
Drama Beyond Exams
Aged 13, I was lucky enough to have a drama teacher who had spent 13 years as an actor in the RSC. His boundless enthusiasm, knowledge of the industry and attention to detail transferred itself brilliantly into our class and we all became budding actors, directors and writers. As a young student, it is not the facts you remember, not the exams...

'I couldn't recommend Alex more highly. He is full of brilliant ideas about how to best get those grades.'' - Tom Wilson |
''Alex’s help was invaluable in helping me with the Interview process at Oxford. Throughout the couple of days I was there I felt very relaxed, and the advice given to me was ideal to give off the right impression. I’m pretty sure that without his tips that I certainly would not have been made an offer!'' - David Franklin |
''...it was really helpful, relevant advice rather than just the standard wide sweeping statements that don't mean anything to an individual. Very personalised and also unpatronising! Probably the most useful bit was demystifying the situation itself, seeing it as a conversation rather than an interrogation and the Dons as people who just want to work out whether you're someone they want to teach.'' - Eleanor Boyer |
''Enormously helpful'' - Isabella Adams |
''I really feel that it made a massive difference, and helped me incredibly. I really enjoyed working with you, as it was a relaxed and calm atmosphere which enabled me to concentrate more and comprehend what you said more easily, and take in more.'' - Tiffany Mitchell |
