Hi, my name is Alex. I have recently graduated from Norwich UEA. Im a very warm, friendly and understanding teacher, who has a lot of patience! My pupils always feel relaxed in lessons, as I have a calm and encouraging attitude toward teaching. Music is about enjoying yourself, and fun is something I aim to bring to every lesson, ages 4 - 94!

I teach Flute for all capabilities and Genres: Beginners to ABRSM Grade 8.
ABRSM Theory, Beginners to Grade 5.
Early Years Music lessons.
General Musicianship.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I Have a BA Hons in Music from The Unversity of East Anglia

Grade 1 Piano

What kind of experience do you have?
Alongside teaching whilst at University, I have a passion for all types of music, and run a music promotions company that puts on gigs and events in Norwich. I have hosted a radio show at the student radio station "Livewire". I have attended numerous workshops, and spent weeks of work experience in establishments such as Norwich Arts Centre. I also work for PRS for Music.

I am very good with children, particulary the younger age range. I have spent years helping at Brownies, and volunteered in many local schools.

How much do you charge?
£20 for an hours lesson
£10 for a half an hour lesson

Group lessons are available.

Where do you teach?
I am Norwich based and I can either come to your own house, your school, or I can teach you in my own home.

When are you available?
Very flexible: Mon- Sun Early nights to late evening lessons.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages, 4- 104!

Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare you for ABRSM Grades, GCSE's, A-Levels and at Degree Level.

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes I regularly have CRB checks as I work with children.

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I can tutor through Skype, providing the pupil has both video and audio facilities necessary to partake in the lesson.
