Interview
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach flute playing to everyone who wants to learn depending on your needs - preparing for your exams or just having fun (don't forget about it even if your exams are coming!). My lessons usually include flute practice, a bit of theory (if that's neccessary) and maybe some physical exercises to make your breathing work better for you.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from Emila Darzina School of Music for talented children in 2008 in Riga, Latvia, which gave me a very good foundation for my current studies at Trinity College of Music in London.
What kind of experience do you have?
I've played many concerts in Latvia, Germany and London, organised concerts and led several ensembles. I've played with orchestras as a soloist and enjoy being a part of it as well! I've worked with children of different age groups in summer camps and schools. I speak English, Russian and Latvian fluently.
How much do you charge?
I charge 25 pounds per hour, 15 per 30 min.
Where do you teach?
I teach at students' homes in London area, but I do charge (don't worry it's not a lot) for travel expenses if I need to go outside South East.
Lessons at my place in Charlton SE7 are also avaliable.
When are you available?
My schedule is very flexible at the moment I will do my best to match it with yours. Contact me and we'll discuss.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages (from 9 years old) and all levels.
Do you have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
No. But if it is neccessary it's not a problem to get one.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Music is a magic. We all are talented and creative which is a good reason to develop our potentials through playing an instrument. Try to believe that an instrument exists to allow your soul to sing... Enjoy your flute playing! :)
This World is a Wide World!
The best thing you can do as a musician is to start looking around you and notice how many exciting and interesting things are happening and how much you can learn to enhance your playing. First of all, listen to different styles of music. You might have very intriguing dicoveries which can...
