Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Violin, Viola and Chamber Music.


Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a first class honours degree in music from the University of Oxford, and a Postgraduate Diploma in performance from the Royal Academy of Music. I also hold a LRAM teaching qualification from the Royal Academy of Music.


What kind of experience do you have?
For the last year I have taught for Buckinghamshire Music Service in primary schools around the Amersham area, before which I taught violin and chamber music for two years on the 'First String Experience' scheme at the Royal Acaemy of Music. I also coach on summer courses and have my own private teaching practice at home in Chesham.


How much do you charge?
I charge £35 per hour for individual instrumental lessons, and £45 per hour for chamber music coaching.


Where do you teach?
I teach at home in Chesham, Buckinghamshire.


When are you available?
I teach weekdays between 4 and 7 for school-aged students, and on a more flexible basis for adult students.


Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and abilities - from young children to adults. Adult beginners are very welcome!


Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare students for ABRSM grades 1-8, although exams are not compulsory - learning for pleasure is encouraged!


Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes.


Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Musicians Union.


Where and with whom did you train?
I trained at the Royal Academy of Music.

My current students range from primary school children to adults who have taken up the violin or viola later in life.
