- I am a Northern Irish freelance cellist based in Chorlton. I enjoy teaching as it allows me to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm to anyone who wishes to learn.

- Currently studying for a Masters degree in Cello Performance with Peter Dixon, principal cello of the BBC Philharmonic, at the Royal Northern College of Music

Grade 8 Distinction - What kind of experience do you have?
- I began my private teaching 7 years ago and since then I have given group and individual lesson to students at Manchester Music Service, Yorkshire Young Musicians and the RNCM's award winning Junior Strings Project.
In addition to my teaching, I also perform with the Ulster Orchestra and run my own cello duo business (www.thecellists.co.uk). - How much do you charge?
- 30 minute lesson: £12
60 minute lesson: £20 - Where do you teach?
- I am based in Chorlton and teach mainly in my apartment, however I do have a car and am willing to travel within Greater Manchester to give lessons.
- When are you available?
- My timetable is very flexible as I teach alongside my professional freelance performing, so it would be easy to arrange a time which suits you.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach anyone above the age of 7, and every level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I'm happy to help people prepare for music grade exams but if you would prefer not to that's fine.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I hold a valid CRB disclosure certificate.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I currently have many private students of varying standards, and ranging in age from 12 to 46 years. I very much enjoy the individual approach I can give to my students as no two are alike, which I feel is a fantastic way to explore the many differing ways in which people learn most effectively.
