Where and with whom did you train?
I originally have a degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Music where with I studied with now prof. Sergei Azizian. After graduation I went on to take a Masters in Historical Performance at Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio U.S.A. While there I also studied modern violin with prof. Milan Vitek. I have participated in various masterclasses and summer courses with leading teachers and took lessons for a while with Nikolai Znaider.
Do you have a personal message for students?
It is never too late to begin learning the violin. It is a challenging but rewarding instrument to learn. When practising aim at quality rather than quantity. The best practising requires a kind of consentration which can only be held for so long. Take regular breaks and then return to the task refreshed.
A Healthy Violinist
One of the most essential things in violin playing is to feel comfortable while playing. Standing with your arms lifted like a violinist is very demanding on the muscles and joints, and it is therefore essential to minimize tension. The most essential thing to achieve this is a good posture....
