Tell me about your qualifications.: BA (HONS) Accountancy PGCE Business Studies
What kind of experience do you have?: I have been in the teaching profession for 8 years. After my NQT year I was promoted to Director of Studies for Year 9 & 10 in a busy comprehensive school. After 2 years in this position, I moved schools for a promotion to Head of Year in another large comprehensive. This school was deemed as 'outstanding' by OFSTED. This has given me the opportunity to work in a very dynamic learning environment. Being involved with the pastoral side of school life and teaching Business Studies, I have gained expereince and strategies on how to encourage students to achieve their full potential.
How much do you charge?: I charge £30 an hour
Where do you teach?: I can teach students in their own home and can travel to Slough, West Drayton, Heston, Uxbridge, Hayes, Southall and surroundign areas.
When are you available?: I try and be very flexible. I am available after school, weekends and during school holidays.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I have taught GCSE Business Studies in my previous school (as well as the A Levels)
I currently teach AS/A2 Business Studies and Vocational A Levele (including examined units 11 & 12)
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?: AS & A2 levels
Vocational A Levels (exam unit 11 & 12)
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: Yes as I work in a school this has been completed before employment.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?: GTC NAUSWT
Where and with whom did you train?: PGCE St Marys University - Twickenham BA (Hons) Accountancy - University of Central England in Birmingham (currently known under a new name)
Do you have a personal message for students?: I am very passionate about teaching and feel I can help pupils to further enhance what they have learnt at school.
