What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching private students for over 4 years and have worked extensively in Spain in the last year. I work with college and University students who are studying Humanities courses (Social Sciences). My teaching experience comes from my desire to master the English language and love of the English way of life. At university I studied English to a high level as I had very experienced and well articulated lecturers who equipped me with the knowledge of grammar, writing, reading and speaking. My desire for teaching also came 4 years ago when I lived in a Spanish City called Vigo where I was approached by locals to teach them English. They all had different reasons for wanting to learn English. Some wanted to learn English to use in their travels, others to surf the net and others to learn the language because they had the desire to live in the United Kingdom. Once I taught my first private student, I realized that this was my calling and I have not looked back since then. I have come to understand the needs of my students and help to find ways for them to grasp the English language and also to empower them to be well articulated in their speech and writing.

Do you have a personal message for students?
My approach to tutoring is to find out exactly what the student is struggling with or looking to achieve, then agreeing an individual plan for subsequent sessions with the student that will help them to improve their confidence and ability in these areas. I am flexible and happy to provide regular weekly tuition, less frequent sessions or ad hoc assistance with particular areas of the curriculum - please feel free to contact me to discuss and arrange a free impartial assessment.
