About Charlotte
- What kind of experience do you have?
Before I had my children, I taught at local independent schools in the Junior school departments teaching Year 2 and Yea 3 classes. I also have many years experience of tutoring at all levels, from KS1 children who need support in all areas of the curriculum to maths GCSE students who need a boost before their exams.

I am an experienced and fully qualified primary teacher, as well as having a maths degree and many years experience tutoring up to GCSE. I have an enthusiasm for maths and enjoy passing this love of the subject on to my students.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Mathematics at both primary and secondary level (specialising in GCSE preparation). I also tutor English at Primary school level (KS1 and KS2).
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BSc (Hons) Mathematics from Surrey University and PGCE (Primary specialising in Maths) from Roehampton University.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 per hour for KS1 and KS2 students, and £35 per hour for KS3 and GCSE students. I also offer a reduced rate for group lessons (amount will depend on the number in the group).
- Where do you teach?
I teach from my home in Bookham. I am able to travel within the local area for home schooled children if booked for a long session.
- When are you available?
I teach Monday-Friday during the day and in the evenings.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
In maths, I teach children from KS1 up to GCSE and in English I teach KS1 and KS2 aged children.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am able to prepare students for the maths GCSE and iGCSE exams. I also help children prepare for the 7+, 11+ and common entrance exams.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I help students improve their confidence, enabling academic progress, by taking a relaxed and fun approach in my tutoring sessions. I like to use a range of resources such as worksheets, books, apps and games to give each child a variety of learning tools. Each lesson is tailored to the individual needs of the student, whether they need help with catching up at school, exam preparation of challenges to extend learning.
