- I am a TESOL-qualified teacher with around ten years varied experience of teaching both adults and children.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach key stage 2 English, and English as a foreign language, both informally and for exam preparation.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a BA honours degree in Modern Languages (2:1) and a TESOL certificate.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have about ten years experience of teaching both adults and children in a wide variety of contexts - 1 to 1 tuition, classroom teaching, small groups, informal conversation classes. I have lived, studied and worked abroad (Europe and Asia) and so have first hand experience of the challenges of living and working in another language.
- How much do you charge?
- Basic rate: £20 per hour for ESL/EFL.
Reduced rates may be available for block sessions and for small groups (2--4 students)
Travel expenses charged for home tutoring more than 5 miles from RG21.
Free initial consutation in person (if local) by phone or by email. - Where do you teach?
- I teach in my own home in Basingstoke, Hampshire, or in the students home if within reasonable distance of Basingstoke - for example Tadley, Hook, Aldershot, Farnham, Alton, Newbury, Winchester
- When are you available?
- I am available during week days and some evenings. I am not available on Saturdays or Sundays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- Although I mainly teach adults of all abilities I also have considerable experience of teaching children from ages 7 to 16
