Which subject(s) do you teach?

Tell me about your qualifications.
Bachelor of Music (Hons) Distinction, Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Performance diploma for flute (with distinction) from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music 2007.
ABRSM Grade 8 distinction flute
ABRSM Grade 8 distinction alto saxophone.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching private pupils for 5 years and I currently teach a combination of adult and child pupils. I also have experience teaching in secondary schools and saturday music centres for primary school children. I have presented pupils for ABRSM exams in the past on both flute and saxophone. I have also given several adult students advice lessons on technique who were teaching themselves instruments.
As well as private teaching, I am also the periapetic flute teacher at Sutton High School for Girls and the London Symphony Orchestra ILP programme and lead music classes 0-5 year olds for Boppin' Bunnies
How much do you charge?
My hourly rate is £28 if you have lessons at my home or £30 if I travel to you. I am also happy to give 30 or 45 minute lessons.
Where do you teach?
I normally teach at my home in Gunnesbury/Chiswick but I am also willing to travel if it is relatively local for example Hammersmith, Kew, Acton, Shepherds Bush etc.
When are you available?
mainly weekday evenings and late afternoons or weekends. My timetable is flexible so I can normally fit around you!
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all abilities up to grade 8.
I have had experience teaching young children and adult students.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Royal Philhamonic Society as part of their 'Young Artists' programme and I belong to the Incorporated Society of Musicians.
Where and with whom did you train?
I studied flute with Sarah Newbold, Philippa Davies, Ian Clarke and Sharon Williams and saxophone with Christian Forshaw whilst attending the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
I also received training on workshop leading from the Wigmore Hall and London Sinfonietta education departments.
Tell me about some of your current students.
Most of my current students are adults who have developed an interest in music later in life. Some are working towards graded exams but others are just playing for fun. At the moment the ages of my students range from 6-60!
