Grade 5 ABRSM in Theory of Music - What kind of experience do you have?
- I specialise in drum kit, though I also learnt percussion, trumpet, violin, organ and piano when I was younger. I attended the Purcell School of Music from the age of 13 until 18 where I then moved to Birmingham to study drums at Birmingham Conservatiore. I now live in West London.
Percussion and drums -
Drummer for touring theatre show 'Rat Pack Vagas Spectacular'
Toured in U.K, Portugal, France, Spain, Germany.
Played at Buckingham Palace, Saddlers Wells, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Pizza Express Dean St., Ronnie Scotts, Charlie Wrights.
Played at many festivals including Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Wigan Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival and many others.
Teaching -
Workshop leader with award winning outreach group 'Impulse' and Midlands based organisation 'Creative Arts Education'. I also have a number of private pupils and have worked in a number of music centres teaching one-to-one. - How much do you charge?
- £25 per hour
£15 per half hour
Packages of 4, 8 or 12 lessons are more cost effective. - Where do you teach?
- I can teach at my home where I have a kit (W5)
I would also be happy to travel to you for an additional small fee. If you do not have drums, I could bring mine for a further additional small fee. - When are you available?
- My availability is flexible.

Having a broad knowledge is incredibly important when learning any instrument. One way of gaining this is through keeping an open mind, and listening to many different genres of music. For example, crazy as it may seem at first, classical music will help the way you play jazz (and the other way around) as much as Indian music will help you play...
