About Christine
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have worked as a private tutor for 10 years and have outstanding testimonials from past students and parents.
My specialist knowledge is supported by working as an examiner which gives me great insight into how to answer exam questions in a way to maximise marks.
I am a contributing author to all of the CGP AS/A2 Psychology revision guide books.

I am a very experienced private tutor with many years of one to one support both face to face and online. I am an experienced classroom teacher and have worked in both colleges and schools.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
AS and A level Psychology using AQA A, AQA B, OCR, Edexcel and WJEC specifications.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I worked as a classroom teacher for 9 years, including 4 years as the Subject Leader for Psychology in a large Sixth Form College in North Yorkshire before taking a career break when I had children. I started work as a tutor at this point and enjoy it so much that although I've returned part time to classroom teaching I still want to work as a tutor. For the last 2 years I've worked at York College and recently as maternity cover at Bootham School in York.
- How much do you charge?
The cost of one to one lessons is £34 per hour pro rata. Look at my website for details regarding costs for group lessons.
- Where do you teach?
I work from my home in York in the YO24 2SU area and I offer online tuition using Skype.
- When are you available?
I can tutor during the day, evenings and weekends. Contact me to find out about current availability as this changes frequently.

AS and A level students of any age.

I use Skype for online tutoring, students can send me work through the file sharing function or by email.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
It is never too late to get support, I've helped students as close as one week before their exam. You must be prepared to work hard, you are the only person who can take the exam. But I will give you full support and use my specialist knowledge and experience to help you succeed.
