About Rachel
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have experience in teaching a range of ages, from young children to mature adult. This experience includes individual tuition as well as group workshops. I have been teaching privately for 4 years. I teach Clarinet from absolute beginner to post grade 8. Piano, Recorder and Ukulele I teach at beginner to intermediate level.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes
- Where and with whom did you train?
I have studied the Clarinet from the age of 8 with the East Hertfordshire Music Service. From the age of 15 I studied at Junior Guildhall with Neyire Ashworth. From the age of 18 to the age of 22 I completed my undergraduate degree in classical clarinet at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I learnt with Joy Farrall. I am now completing my masters degree at the Guildhall school, studying with Andrew Marriner.
I am self taught in Ukulele, Recorder and Piano, therefore my skills in these instruments are less advanced. However I am more than capable of teaching these instruments from beginner to intermediate level.
