Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Maths, Key stages 1, 2 & 3 GCSE Maths, AS Level & GCSE Maths. I am also trained in preparing pupils for entry tests to senior schools & SATS.
I also teach GCSE & AS Level ICT

Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Bsc in Maths & Computing, MA in Systems Analysis, MSc in Statistics, Cert Ed.

What kind of experience do you have?
25 years of teaching experience, teaching maths & ICT at schools, and sixth form colleges. I also have 20 years of experience of private tuition from the age 7- 16. In the past 5 years I have also become specialised in getting pupils prepared for entry tests to private & grammar schools. At least 20 pupils have passed their entry tests in the past 3 years. I also have had many GCSE students who all achieved their desired grades, mostly above C & many achieved grades A.

I am also highly experienced in assisting students to develop GCSE & Alevel coursework in ICT.

How much do you charge?
Please see the fee for each subject.

For a group of 2 pupils I readuce the fee by £5.00 and for the group of 3 pupils I reduce the fee by £7.00.

Where do you teach?
I usually travel to my pupils' homes. I travel within 5 miles. I can also provide tuition at home.

When are you available?
I am available evenings & weekends.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
7- 18, KS (level 2), KS (level 3), entry test to private schools at ages 10, 11, 13. GCSE maths, AS level Maths, ICT at GCSE & Alevel.

Do you have a CRB disclosure certificate?
Yes. It was updated December 2008. I provide a copy to the parents in my first session.

Where and with whom did you train?
At City University, Brunel University, Institute of Education, London University.

Tell me about some of your current students.
At present I have pupils aged 9-12 who are preparing for SATS & entry tests to Whitgift, Wallington & Wilson schools. A few GCSE & AS level maths students who are taking exams in June 2010.

Do you have a personal message for students?
I would say practice & practice combined with confidence & concentration produces results. With younger pupils 8-12, the tutor, pupil & parents are one team working together to enhance the pupil's knowledge & confidence. I follow parents instructions & school reports to improve my pupils knowledge of maths. As a mathematician & experienced teacher I write worksheets according to specific skills of my pupils.Homework & practice makes a great contribuition to the pupil's progress learning basic maths.

With older pupils, GCSE, as well as homework pupils take short tests to monitor the larning & exam techniques.
