- I currently work in a primary school, and am able to privide lessons after the school day and at the weekend. I have a Masters degree and years of experience to pour in to one on one lessons.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- My primary area is music theory, and preparation for theory exams. I can also teach theory application practices, such as composition and arranging. I can also teach guitar at all levels.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I am a teaching assistant in a large primary school, training to become a fully qualified teacher. I have a Masters degree in Music from the University of Chichester as well as an undergraduate degree in Music. I have an advanced grasp of music theory and practice, experience conducting and arranging, and experience teaching one on one lessons.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I first took on guitar pupils while I was at 6th form, and have been teaching ever since. I have also provided lessons for residents in learning disability homes as part of music therapy projects.
- How much do you charge?
- All prices listed are for an hour session, a first taster lesson in any subject will be half price.
- Where do you teach?
- I live in central Chichester and am keen on teaching from home, but am willing to come to students' homes, subject to proximity to Chichester. Students outside of the city but reachable by train are also welcome.
- When are you available?
- Availability is flexible, but generally anything can be accommodated. Regular weekly time slots are recommended to maximise teaching efficacy.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- The main bulk of my experience is with early and mid teens, but I am familiar with early age teaching practices and development, and have done some teaching with under 10s, compounded by my daily work in year 5 primary.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- All Trinity and ABRSM grades, as well as national curriculum teaching, including GCSEs.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I currently have an up to date CRB certificate, in line with the Department of Education child protection guidelines.
