Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated with a First Class Honours degree from the Royal College of Music in London having had a year abroad at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music during that time, then moving on to Paris to study recorder there for a further year on the 'Cycle d'Orientation Professionelle' Masters course.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught one-on-one music lessons with children from the age of 4 upwards for 5 years, have worked with students with learning difficulties, teach ensemble playing and masterclasses, and run recorder-playing and musical appreciations workshops for groups of up to 35 children. I am currently the Recorder Teacher for the Borough of Islington and run a recorder ensemble for the area.
How much do you charge?
I charge £35.00/hr for one-on-one lessons, £20.00/30mins, and don't charge extra for travel costs within Zone 2. This is negotiable for extra children / shared lessons and I'm happy to be contacted for more information.
Where do you teach?
I teach at students' homes in and around the London area. Please do contact me for more details if you might be outside Zone 2 as I am happy to negotiate any travel expenses that might be incurred.
When are you available?
I operate a flexible timetable so please contact me to arrange times that suit.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
4yrs upwards and happy to teach adults of all levels.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
This depends on the individual goals of the students, but I have experience of preparing my students for ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall examinations as well as competitions they may wish to enter.
