What is a Musician?
What is a Musician? A true Musician is somebody who understands Music. Not everybody who plays Music understands it – so what is the difference? I have been a 'mature' student of Diane's for around 9 months now and have really enjoyed my violin lessons. Currently we are working towards grade 3 violin exam. She is a very professional and patient teacher, supporting my learning with good practical advice and encouragment when I need it and I feel that I am making really good progress. I would definetely recommend Diane to any one considering beginning the violin. Thanks ever so, - Shirley Hayfield |

Our daughter started violin lessons 2 weeks before her 5th birthday. Diane used her skills and experience to introduce our daughter to both technical skills and the discipline required to play the violin. After 6 months of violin lessons our daughter has a newfound confidence and shows a marked improvement in literacy and numeracy at school. More importantly she is willing to practise at home and she enjoys and looks forward to her weekly lesson with Diane. A fabulous thank you! - Marina's Mother |

Taking up the violin when you're passed 50 years young is guaranteed to raise a few chuckles from those around you. I am still very much a beginner and any sense of unpleasant pressure is effectively avoided by Diane's systematic and friendly approach. Diane teaches in a kind, caring and compassionate way, thus producing a learning environment that is both comfortable and productive. This has built confidence which I am sure will allow me to achieve steadily. - David Forrer |
