Professional Italian musician with solid experience in classical, jazz, film & pop music offering lessons in piano and composition.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach classical piano up to diploma, jazz piano up to grade 5, composition at any level, musicianship/theory/aural at any level, AS and A level composition and listening paper.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a degree in Composition obtained with honors at the Conservatorio di Musica S.Cecilia, Rome. In the same Conservatoire I obtained a first in Conducting, Piano and Score Reading. I have a MMus in Composition (Merit) from Guildhall School of Music & Drama (London) and I am currently completing a DMus in Composition at the Royal College of Music. I also have a degree in Philosophy (first) obtained at the Università la Sapienza, Rome.
I have participated in four Conducting Masterclasses with Bruno Aprea, Milen Nachev and Kenneth Kiesler and two Composition Masterclasses with Pascal Dusapin and Azio Corghi. I have also participated in the International Jazz Masterclass Siena Jazz four times.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have 15 years experience of teaching piano and theory, 6 of teaching composition, musicianship, aural.
Since 2007 I have been teaching piano key stage 3, 4 and GCSE students at Highbury Grove School and from 2010 A level students in composition and piano.
As a composer I have been selected as RCM Rising Star and at the Royal Opera House for Vox - Composing for Voice.
As a film composer I have composed the music for short = at the Venice Film Festival and I have also been selected at the Berlinale Talent Campus
I have been conducting in Russia/Italy and London.
I work as an orchestrator/producer for the crossover opera band Appassionante and as a songwriter/producer for few indie artists
How much do you charge?
I charge £40 per hour for Composition lessons (but I do not overcharge if more time is required)
£35 for piano/theory/musicianship/A level
£50 per 1 hour and a half for all lessons.
£25 for 45 minutes lesson
Where do you teach?
I teach at home and at students' home within reasonable distance.
I live in West Hampstead but I also teach 3 days a week in a high school in Highbury & Islington.
I can travel around North, West and Central London depending on the days and the distance
When are you available?
Monday, Friday, Saturday all day. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 5 p.m.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach any level from the age of 10/11
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare to any qualification in Composition, including exams to be admitted in Colleges and/or Conservatoires.
I prepare up to Diploma in Piano
I prepare for any grades in Musicianship, Theory and Aural
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
