- I am a friendly, reliable teacher and am willing to teach all ages and ability levels. I aim to provide rewarding and enjoyable lessons to help improve your singing, flute playing and music theory.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I am willing to teach a variety of singing genres such as opera, oratorio, German, French and Italian song, Folk song, English Art Song, Musical Theatre and Pop. Likewise I am willing to teach a variety of flute music - whatever you wish to learn. I am able to teach Grades 1-8 in singing, flute and music theory.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I gained a BMus, 2:1, from The Unversity of Manchester in 2010 and I am currently studying for a MMus at Trinity College of Music, graduating in 2013 and am currently studying for the Trinity Guildhall Licentiate Diploma in Teaching (LTCL).
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I am experienced in teaching pupils of all ages and levels. I have worked as a private tutor for several years and have helped many pupils excell in both examinations and performances. Alongside singing and music theory tutoring I also work part time with a London based private tutoring firm. I find teaching very rewarding and am commited to making the lessons enjoyable and beneficial for all my students.
- How much do you charge?
- I am willing to offer consultation lessons at half price - (£13). I am also able to provide half hour lessons for £15.
- Where do you teach?
- Am able teach at my home in Surrey Quays, in the Borough of Southwark. Ideal for those living in Canada Water, Canary Wharf, Deptford, Lewisham, Lambeth, Tower Hamlets, Greenwich, City of London or any where in the Southeast or East London. I am also very willing to travel and teach at student homes. (within zone 1-5)
- When are you available?
- I am available to teach on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, most weekday evenings, and during weekends. I am available during all school holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I am willing to teach of all ages with no lower or upper age limit of students. Similarily I am happy to teach pupils of all levels, whether you want to start or rediscover singing or flute playing or are an experienced singer or flautist. I am able to help you through grades 1-8 and can help you prepare for recitals for GCSE, A-level and Univerisity entrance. I can also help you through the music theory exams, either in isolation or alongside singing lessons.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- Am happy to prepare students for any qualifications and auditions they wish to take. I am able to coach through the ABRSM grades and beyond.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes I have a CRB check and able to provide it if necessary.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I Trained with Sara Parry and Henry Herford whilst at The University of Manchester and am currently studying with Laureen Livingstone, an excellent and much respected teacher.

- I have several current pupils, all of which have made significant progress in their lessons.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss tuition possibilities and to arrange a consultation lesson. I am a friendly and approachable teacher who works well with all ages. I believe everyone with the correct teaching can be a great musician. I will provide an understanding of all areas of singing, including repetoire, technique, vocal health, theory, performance preperation and musicianship skills. I look forward to hearing from you.
