Interview

Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Biology and Biochemistry to degree level, and Chemistry, Biology A level and GCSE. As a postgraduate fellow, I can also offer proof-reading and essay help for up to Master's level Biology.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a PhD in Biology (specifically, Immunology of Infectious Disease) from Imperial College London, completed 2008.
First Class Honours MSci Biochemistry and Spanish, Imperial College London, completed 2004
A levels: Chemistry (A), Biology (A), Maths (B), Spanish (A), General Studies (A)

I am currently working as a research fellow at the University of London.

How much do you charge?
£25 for A Level and higher, £20 for GCSE.

Where do you teach?
I live in Tooting Bec and work in Russell Square, so all of central, West and South West London are fine; Hammersmith, Fulham, Chiswick, Streatham, Tooting, Balham, Camden. I would be willing to travel further if necessary. I can also do online teaching.

I am happy to teach at students' homes and in coffee shops, or at my house.

When are you available?
I am available to teach evenings and weekends, and more intensively over Christmas and Easter, for exam revision.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am a working scientist, not a qualified teacher, and so I would prefer to teach GCSE and above.

Do you have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes.

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I have Skype and am willing to do online tutorials.
