Personal Message
I have an educational background in languages and literature and I see my continuous professional development as essential in my teaching.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am a native Italian speaker and I teach French and Spanish, as well as Italian.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Foreign Languages and I am studying for a PGCE Post Compulsory Education Training in Modern Foreign Languages that will end in May 2012. I also regularly attend training sessions for my CPD -Continuous Professional Development.
What kind of experience do you have?
Working as an adult language tutor/lecturer/learning support teacher for 4 years with The Open University and Birmingham Adult Education Service, has given me plenty of opportunity to teach according to specific and varied learning contexts (from university level to conversation) as well as planning exams and preparing students for exams.
How much do you charge?
I charge from £20.00 to £25.00 per hour. I tend to deduct £5.00 when 5 lessons are purchased together or when teaching 2 or 3 students together.
Where do you teach?
I teach in different venues including my house, nice and quiet cafes (during the day time) or the student's house. I am quite flexible and I tend to discuss the mutual best option with each student.
When are you available?
I work in a flexible way.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach anyone from 14 to 100 years old.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Whatever level they need.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I do have an up-to-date CRB.
Where and with whom did you train?
I trained with The Open University in Birmingham for my BA Hons degree in Modern Foreign Languages and I am training with Birmingham City University for my PGCE Post Compulsory Education Training in Modern Foreign Languages that will end in May 2012. I also regularly attend training sessions for my CPD -Continuous Professional Development with Birmingham Adult Education Service, as I work for it.
