About Jessica
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been working with young people for over 10 years. This began as youth work and included workshops, activity based learning and work with children who had emotional and behavioural difficulties. From this I went on to work in learning support across London's schools and colleges. I have worked with Civitas Schools for three years, teaching English and maths to small classes of key stage one and two children in the evenings. For the past two years, my main employment has been at a high-end tuition colleges coaching students in GCSE and A level English language and literature. I have worked with all the major exam boards including iGCSE and Pre-U.

I'm 29 and have been working with young people for over 10 years. My interest is in bespoke tuition, catering to the specific needs of an individual.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
My specialism is English at GCSE and A level and during the term I teach part time at a private tuition college. Prior to this, I spent three years working with key stage one and two children, focusing on developing skills and confidence in English and maths. I also teach art and history up to key stage 4.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have an Mphil in English from Cambridge University and a BA from the University of Exeter. At A level I have an A in English, an A in Art and a B in history. I have 10 GCSE's all at A and B grade. In addition to this, I have a foundation diploma in art and design.
- How much do you charge?
I charge between £25 and £35 an hour depending on the requirements and location of the student.
- Where do you teach?
I teach in the borough of Camden and will also take students in north-east London and central London. I am happy to travel to students houses and also have a study space in my own house where I receive students.
- When are you available?
During the school holidays I am available Monday to Friday. In term time I am available weekdays after 4pm.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I prefer to teach 15-21 year olds, however, I have spent a lot of time teaching children aged 6-12 and am very comfortable with this age range as well.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Key stage 1 and 2, GCSE, iGCSE, A level.
