Interview:

Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Maths, Music and Religious Studies to any age/level up to A-level standard, other subjects including the Sciences and English I can teach up to GCSE level. I play the piano and violin to Grade 8 level and teach both instruments to any standard.

How much do you charge?
On average I charge £10 an hour for academic tutoring, although this does not include travel. For instrumental tuition I charge £15 an hour. I am willing to negotiate prices.

Where do you teach?
I am able to teach at my own home, or at the student's home if it's not too far away from either my university (Nottingham) or permanent address at home (Hertfordshire).

When are you available?
I am keen to tutor during term time in Nottingham whilst I'm at university, and then also during the holidays in Hertfordshire.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach children between the ages of 6 and 18. Academically I can teach any level up until A2 level, instrumentally I can teach any level up till grade 7.

Do you have a CRB disclosure certificate?
Yes, I am CRB cleared.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I achieved AABB in my A-levels in Maths, Philosophy+Ethics, Music and Chemistry respectively. For GCSE's I achieved A* in Maths and Music, A in all Sciences, RE, English, Graphics, IT and Judaism, and B in German and French. I am currently studying Music and Philosophy at degree level at Nottingham University and in my first year I achieved a 2.1

What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught Hebrew at Sunday school since I was 16, and have informally taught the piano to many friends aswell as tutoring the piano professionally to students in Nottingham. I am very experienced with children having been a youth worker since I was 14 which I am fully trained for including basic first aid. During my time as a youth worker I have lead on summer camps, easter camps, playschemes and weekend activities which I have gained skills from that have been extremely helpful as a tutor.
