Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach brass instrumental music lessons, including Soprano Cornet, Bb Cornet, Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Tenor Horn, Baritone Horn, Euphonium and Tuba.
Tell me about your qualifications.
Bachelors in Music with Honours from the University of Huddersfield.
Grade VIII Tenor Horn
Grade VI Bb Cornet
Grade V Music Theory
A-Level and GCSE Music
What kind of experience do you have?
Experience in working in the teaching sector as an Educational Teaching Assistant and played in a variety of musical ensembles, such as: Brass Bands, Orchestras, Wind Bands etc.
How much do you charge?
£15 per hour, £12 for 45 minutes and £8 per half-hour.
Where do you teach?
At my home. It is in the Marsh district of Huddersfield and is easily accessible by all other areas of Huddersfield, Halifax, Brighouse, Rastrick, Holme Valley and the rest of Kirklees and Calderdale.
Please note: Currently I am a home-based tutor.
When are you available?
Earliest lessons 11am
Latest lessons: 7pm
I am available Monday to Friday, and depending on demand and availability, I may offer Saturdays and Sundays.
I work throughout the year except for two weeks over Christmas (school holiday) and occasional other holidays which would be advised well in advance.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages are welcome and I teach up to intermediate standard (Grade V).
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM Graded Examinations up to Grade V.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Holder of Enhanced CRB Check.
