Rebecca is a patient and kind teacher who has very high standards and encourages our daughter to aim to be the best she can possibly be. The way in which she does this is so supportive and enjoyable that our daughter really loves her flute lessons and works very hard to deliver whatever Rebecca asks of her. Our daughter did very well in her examinations and Rebecca also gave her great confidence to perform in public at several school events.
I was keen to find a flute teacher for my daughter who would focus on teaching methods that aimed at quality playing with purity of sound, rather than just guiding her through the grades by rote. I felt my daughter needed someone who would help engender more passion and love of the flute and classical music. Luckily we found Rebecca and my daughter is delighted with her new tone and improved flute playing, found very quickly through Rebecca's superb teaching and support. She is an excellent flute teacher
Many congratulations on winning the Needlemakers Prize. You showed the audience the range of tonal colour that the flute is capable of and captivated them with your sound.Terrific control at very quiet dynamics and a non-vibrato sound on the flute at times that's rare nowadays. Zoom tube is always a winner and your sound transported us to the world of Jethro Tull, Hubert Laws and Herbie Mann! A very good choice of piece and you can play it marvellously. A lovely contribution to the evening - well done!
