- What kind of experience do you have?
I already teach music and german. Furthermore I hold presentations in the company I work for as a director. I often have to research certain areas and explain my results to the group.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I do have an Subject Access Request from the English police and the German police
- Where and with whom did you train?
In the past, I have noticed that the most recurring problem with native speaking tutors is that their English is not good enough to communicate with the students. It is vital to a good, effective and fun lessons that the tutor can speak to the students in their own language without any difficulties. Let me assure you that my English is more than sufficient enough to teach. I lived for one year in New Zealand, before moving to England to work, study and open my own business.
I am currently still a student (music).

One of my students is a teacher herself. I teach her music theory . She enjoys my lessons and makes progress.

I am originally from Nuremberg in Germany. As a native speaker I am able to teach you the knowledge and skills to succeed in tests as well as using German in a real life context.

ABRSM ( The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) Theory Grade 6, 7, 8
Certificate of higher education ( BIMM Bristol Music college)
- How much do you charge?
£25 for 60 minutes.
- Where do you teach?
The lessons will be held at my home. (Horfield common). I choose to give my lessons from home for a couple of reasons. Students will be actively going to their lesson, that gives them time to clear their head and there is a totally different approach to it. Some students get more easily distracted than others especially in their own home. If a student cancels last minute I will not charge cancellation fees, due to the fact that I am at home and I can get on with my studies or work. However if that becomes a recurring problem, it will have to be discussed.
- When are you available?
My availability is Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12pm to 10pm. Other times can be arranged if necessary. In my experience these three days are equally the best for students. It is still the beginning of the week, therefore they have more energy and they are not distracted by thinking about the weekend. Private lessons on a Friday afternoon are the worst. The mentality of the students is „ Let´s get this out of the way so I can enjoy my weekend“ and I do not blame them because lessons are fun but also hard work. Nevertheless I am available on other days than Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It is partly up to the student to know when they feel most efficient and confident to take their time and learn something new.

I teach from 10 - 70 years of age.

General exams, GCSE and A-Levels
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Every student is an individual, as a logical conclusion every student needs to be taught differently. There are countless of techniques and approaches and I am convinced there is a solution for everyone. From where I am standing private tuition is not for working miracles. It is for helping a student to get back on track and achieving his or her personal goal related to the subject.
