I'm a research associate at the Oxford University Institute of Biomedical Engineering. I've been tutoring since high school so I'm very at ease teaching difficult concepts in new interesting ways.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Spanish.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from the University of Rochester in New York with a Bachelor of Science and an Mphil degree in Chemical Engineering and I am currently doing a PhD degree in Biomaterials at the University of Oxford. I am also a native Spanish speaker
What kind of experience do you have?
I am an experienced Maths and science tutor (10yrs+) with track record of improved grades in Maths, Chemistry, Spanish and Physics from ages of 7+, and at GCSE, A-level and university level. I am friendly, approachable and patient with a flexible tutoring style catering to my individual student's needs. My goal is to cater specifically to the individual learning style of my student.
How much do you charge?
I charge £20/hr for Key-stage 2 through GCSE, £25/hour for A-level, and £30/Bsc
Where do you teach?
I typically teach at a students home or if more convenient on the Oxford campus.
When are you available?
I am available most evenings during the week and am/pm weekends depending on the student.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach from primary school to A levels and University students.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
No as it is not required for tutoring.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I believe that any child can learn and understand maths and science as long as it is presented properly, and patiently. I offer the first session free as away to test out my tutoring style.
