- B Mus (Hons), Post Graduate and Post Graduate Advanced Diplomas in Cello performance from Trinity College of Music, London.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have played the cello since I was 13 years old and have had rigorous training from my cello professors at Trinity College of Music.
I have been teaching the cello for 6 years and have worked for Lambeth Music Service and now teach for Tower Hamlets Music Service and Camden Music Service and Islington Music Service as a freelance cello tutor, tutoring individuals, small groups and the "wider opportunity" classroom teaching scheme for young violinists and cellists. I regularly tutor for the Camden SuperString holiday courses.
My first pupil to do an ABRSM cello exam in Summer 2010 received a high distinction. - How much do you charge?
- £40 p/h and £20 p/1/2h with a £10 charge for travel time and expense.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach at home and also travel to students' homes. I have a car and so am available for travelling to locations within a 5 mile radius of my home in Tooting, Wandsworth. (SW17).
- When are you available?
- Available for tutoring most week day evenings and some weekends(for a slightly higher fee). School holidays are also available. Please contact me via email to discuss general availability.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- All ages from complete beginner to advanced. (Also can prepare students for music conservatoire auditions).
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall exams, plus GCSE and A level recitals and music conservatoire auditions.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes

- Where and with whom did you train?
- Trinity College of Music, with Cello professors Naomi Butterworth, Richard Markson and Derek Aviss.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- My students range from ages 5 to 75. Recent results have been distinctions for ABRSM cello exams.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- Ultimately my aim is to teach the cello with the highest attention to detail and beauty and to bring the joy of music making to all of my students in a relaxed and enjoyable manner whilst embracing all genres of music.
