I am a graduate of the University of York with a BA Hons in Music and I am now studying for a PGCE in Nottingham.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I offer saxophone, clarinet and music theory lessons. I am happy to enter students for music examinations or to teach specific repertoires for fun. I am able to accompany students for examination preparation.

BA Hons Music 2:1
Saxophone Grade 8 Alto and Tenor (ABRSM) Distinction
Music Theory Grade 8 (ABRSM) Pass
Clarinet Grade 8 Standard
Piano Grade 6 (ABRSM) Merit
What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught students of varying abilities and ran numerous ensembles from a big band to a saxophone quartet. I am pleased to teach musicians of any ability.
How much do you charge?
Fees can be negotiated but will start from £10 for a half hour and £18 for an hour.
Where do you teach?
I teach at home in Werrington, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. I am happy to travel to Derby and Nottingham where I will be studying for a PGCE.
When are you available?
Teaching can take place on weekday evenings or weekends.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach students of any age and ability.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
For those wishing to take exams I follow the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music but am able to tutor other qualifications if students have already begun a programme of study.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I have an up-to-date criminal record check.
Where and with whom did you train?
I have studied under Sarah Markham, a world renowned saxophonist, whilst studying at the University of York.
Do you have a personal message for students?
Music has always been a large part of my life and I want every student to experience the enjoyment and rewards of advancing on their chosen instrument.
