Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Piano and Music Theory for all levels in both English and Mandarin.


Tell me about your qualifications.
All Distinction passes up to Associated Board LRSM for piano performance.
Grade 8 ABRSM theory.
I graduated from the University of Auckland in New Zealand as top in my year for the Bachelor of Music degree where I majored in Piano Performance. Then the following year I gained my Honours Degree with First Class in the same university. I won numerous scholarships to come to London for my postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music where I recently completed my Masters Degree in Piano Performance with First Class Distinction. I am currently studying for a Doctoral degree at the Royal College of Music.


What kind of experience do you have?
As a performer, I made my concerto debut at the age of 14 with members from the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. I have given recitals in New Zealand and has performed with several orchestras, and my performances have been broadcasted on New Zealand’s Concert FM radio numerous times. I was a prize winner in all of the major national competitions in New Zealand and appeared as a guest artist before a capacity crowd of more than 30,000 at the 2008 Starlight Symphony with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra. I have participated in international piano festivals, and has had masterclasses with Internationally renowned pianists such as Piers Lane, Gloria Saarinen, Heidi Koehler, Bruce Brubaker, Thomas Hecht, Albert Tui, Diedre Irons, Tamas Vesmas, Stephen McIntyre, Joaquin Soriano, Arnan Wiesel, Gerard Willems, Rolf-Peter Wille, Lina Yeh, Martin Roscoe, and Bryan Sayer.


How much do you charge?
Music Theory Exams £25.00/hr
Piano £35.00/hr


Where do you teach?
I prefer to teach at home. I live in South Kensington (SW7) beside the Royal Albert Hall. I could travel to your house if you live relatively close, but i may charge additional fees for travel.


When are you available?
I am mostly available during weekdays and weekends from morning till evenings. Please feel free to contact me to arrange lesson times. However, I do not teach during school holidays.


Which ages and levels do you teach?
All levels are welcome! I love teaching and I have had over 8 years of private teaching experience from complete beginners to advanced performance level.


Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Whether you're just learning for fun, or want to prepare for A-level music, competitions, or ABRSM exams, I am the right teacher for you! I also like to work by encouraging my students to reach personal goals and to develop their skills and abilities in piano playing.


Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
No.

I am a highly qualified, experienced, dedicated, responsible and friendly teacher who is extremely patient with her students. I have great passions for teaching and is enthusiastic for music !
