Interview

Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach General English (EFL) at all levels, but more recently have specialised in teaching students preparing for CAE and IELTS examinations.


Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a degree in English and Sociology and a CELTA qualification.


What kind of experience do you have?
I have wide experience of teaching small groups, individuals and whole classes at different levels. More recetly I have taught students preparing for the CAE and IELTS exams and am pleased to say that 80% of my students pass with the reault they needed or higher.
In addition I have experience teaching English to teenagers 14-19 years of age and those who have additional learning needs such as Dyslexia and ADHD.


How much do you charge?
Lesson are £20 per hour based on individual students. I can offer a discount of £15 per hour, per student for teaching two or three students in a small group.


Where do you teach?
I can teach in students' homes, at my home or in local coffee shops. I am happy to travel to Tooting, Balham, Clapham, Putney, Wandsworth, Wimbledon and Croydon.


When are you available?
Teaching hours are from 2 - 8 pm.


Which ages and levels do you teach?
General English from Elementary to Advanced level and also those preparing for CAE and IELTS exams. I teach students from 14 years of age upwards.


Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I have a recent CRB check certificate.


Where and with whom did you train?
I gained my degree from St. Mary's University College in Twickenham. I trained for the CELTA qualification, (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English Language To Adults), at a language school in Earl's Court London.


Tell me about some of your current students.
I have taught students of different nationalities including: Somali, Pakistani, Estonian, Polish, German, Czech, Spanish and French.
