Studied under Owen Evans (2006-2008), Paula Gardiner (2008-present), Nick Weldon (2008-present), Dudley Phillips (2008-present), also occasional tutoring from Peter Herbert (France/Austria), Mark Dresser (USA), Jasper Hoiby (UK/Denmark) - What kind of experience do you have?
- Wide experience in performance within many musical genres. I play with many jazz ensembles regularily and original compositions in my own jazz quartet, in a pop band with Rachel K Collier and with reggae band Benjie and the Greats. I have also been involved with community projects, Mzansi Cymru as principal bass player (2010-2011). I have played in many venues over the country, St David's Hall, Wales Millenium Stadium, Wales Millenium Centre, Llangollen Pavilion, Spice of Life (London), Proud Camden (London). I have also done TV and radio work with the BBC, shows such as Noson Lawen, Nadolig yn Llangollen and C2 Radio Cymru.
- How much do you charge?
- £20 an hour.
- Where do you teach?
- I mainly teach at home in Cathays, Cardiff or in a room at the Royal Welsh College, but willing to teach bass guitar within a mile radius to my house in Cathays. Also available for tutoring over some of the holidays in Bangor, Gwynedd.
- When are you available?
- Very flexible, I arrange with the student.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- From beginners to advance students, for fun or for exams. I am very flexible with what the student wants to learn.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Not at the moment, but in process of sorting it out.
