- Personal Message
- I believe strongly, all children have the ability to learn a huge amount. I encourage children's natural learning ability. My focus is on *`I can'* and the glass being *`half full'*.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach maths using a right brain, left brain approach. I use a range of accelerated learning techniques including: visual - e.g. colour coding, mind maps, auditory - appropriate music to aid learning and kinesthetic - `hands-on' activities.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a Masters degree in Social Policy and Administration. I am a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming - NLP for short.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have for many years taught adults and informally taught children. More recently, I have been volunteering in school with great results whilst working to support those children who have been considered to be `less able'.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £15 per student per lesson. Classes are no more than 6 to a class and so providing the added benefits of being small enough to receive personalised attention and having the interactivity of the other students to enhance learning.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach in my home in London.
- When are you available?
- Please do feel free to contact me at any point via phone or email and I will contact you within 48 hours.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I will teach years 2, 3 and 4.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have an Enhanced CRB certificate
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I am able to teach online via messenger or skype (please be aware that this will be teaching in a `virtual' classroom context with a number of children).
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- When at first they felt they couldn't understand maths, with some time with me teaching them and starting at the point where they were and taking them forward to understand maths even more, they felt more and more motivated and encouraged.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- **Always remember - every 'problem' has a solution**
**Have an 'I can' attitude**
**Always do your best**
**Go the extra mile**

Teaching maths - right brain, left brain approach
The right brain is random, intuitive, holistic, synthesising, subjective and looks at wholes. The left brain is logical, sequential, rational, analytical, objective and looks at parts. I bring the whole brain together to work in harmony to learn maths. I use a range of accelerated learning techniques which simply means children are able more...
