Personal Message: Hi, I'm Jackie, I am a young classically trained singer who is interested in teaching singing in a fun and relaxed way!
Which subject(s) do you teach?: I teach singing and voice - specifically classical singing and musical theatre.
Tell me about your qualifications.: I have a BA(hons) - 2:1 - degree from Bath Spa University where I specialized in voice.
I also have grade 8 singing.
I am currently studying for an MMus (performance) at Trinity Laban conservatoire of music and dance.
I also hold a current chaperoning licence.
What kind of experience do you have?: I have done placements in secondary schools where I taught group and individual lessons.
I have been a vocal coach at bath Spa University for a thesis piece (Spring Awakening)
I gave individual singing lessons to other students at university for a year.
I have coached privately for undergraduate university choral scholarships.
How much do you charge?: I charge £15 for half and hour or £25 for an hour.
for group sessions prices would be discussed.
A consultation lesson would be half price.
Where do you teach?: I am based in Woolwich which is close to Charlton, Deptford, Maze Hill, Greenwich, Blackheath and Lewisham. I am happy to travel and teach from students' homes (zones 1 - 4), I can also teach from my flat in Woolwich (within walking distance of Woolwich Arsenal train or DLR station)
When are you available?: I am free - Tuesday evening after 7pm
Thursday evenings after 5pm
Friday evenings after 7pm
Saturday mornings and afternoons
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I teach all ages from beginners to intermediate levels.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?: I can prepare students to take ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall examinations.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: Yes.
Where and with whom did you train?: I am currently training at Trinity Laban conservatoire of music and dance with Lynton Atkinson and Robert Aldwinkle. Prior to this I studied at Bath Spa University with Judy Davis.
