Which subject(s) do you teach?
James teaches the cello, from beginners to any level. He also teaches the french horn, music theory, and chamber music. James has studied art of Teaching, Improvisation, Orchestral Arrangement, Composition, Music computer studies and conducting.

What kind of experience do you have?
James has been teaching privately since 2005, both adults and children. He teaches for Tower Hamlets and Sutton. He works as pastoral staff, looking after the boarders, at several music courses over the year, ran by NYSA (National Youth Strings Academy)
How much do you charge?
£30 an hour. James is also happy to teach in 40 minute or 30 minute slots [at £20 and £15] Sometimes this is preferable for younger students
Where do you teach?
James is a visiting tutor and teaches at the student's homes. Charlton, Greenwich, South East London, Blackheath, New Cross, Stratford, Deptford, Surrey Keys, Bermondsey, Peckham, Woolwich, Hither Green, Lee
When are you available?
James is available to teach at any time of the week or weekend, including school holidays. This also includes after working hours (6pm onwards) for adult students
Which ages and levels do you teach?
James teaches pupils of all ages up to any level
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
If the student would like to study Grades then James is prepared to prepare them for ABRSM exams or TrinityGuildhall Exams depending on their preference and personality

Where and with whom did you train?
James studied with Sasha Boyarsky at the Royal College of Music. He studies with David Kenedy at Trinity College of Music. James has also studied with cellists Gillian Thoday and Peter Adams. As a chamber musician James has studied with Michael Bochmann
Tell me about some of your current students.
James teaches an adult who learns purely for fun. She is really enjoying her cello playing and plays in a band with some friends on guitar and piano. James also teaches a child who is a beginner and preparing for their grade 1 soon. He has only just started music and is really enjoying the cello.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I am an experienced performer and player who has so far led a really exciting life through music playing all around London, visiting many different countries and even playing on television shows such as the X - factor. I am really enthusiastic about my art and want my students to have the cello as a hobby that enriches their lives.
