- Tell me about your qualifications.
- Working towards MA (History of Race in the Americas) at Warwick University, soon to be expanded into a PhD. I also have a BA Hons (Politics), and I am a fully qualified teacher (PGCE).
- What kind of experience do you have?
- My experience involves teaching/lecturing at five FE colleges and three universities over a period of eight years. I have just completed a three-month research post at another university. I have taught A-Level British Politics, American Politics; International Relations; 20th Century History; European Studies and Business Communication. My PGCE specialised in the tutoring of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
- How much do you charge?
- £25.00 per hour is standard price. I also offer Skype tuition at £25.00 per hour.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach according to the student's preferences. I am happy to travel to a student's home. I also offer tuition at my own flat, which is located in the centre of Birmingham, only a ten minute walk from New Street Station.
- When are you available?
- Very flexible. Again, I always try to consider the student's preferences.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- All ages and levels considered. I am experienced mainly with A-Level and undergraduate students, but my PGCE specialised in the support of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, which has provided me with a very open-minded approach.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- GCSE, A-Level, BA Hons, MA. Anything considered.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have two CRB clearances, the most recent of which was completed in October 2010.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I offer Skype tuition at £25.00 per hour.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I completed my PGCE at the University of Greenwich.
