Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach music theory and instrumental music: French Horn, Trumpet, Tenor Horn, Piano, Music Theory.
I also teach General Science to A level; Biological Sciences and Psychology, specialising in Neurosciences at University Level.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have an instrumental teaching qualification - L.T.C.L.
Also a BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences with Biology and a DIp Mol Sci (Molecular Science diploma).
Also an MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have worked as a professional horn player and teacher for about 25 years, freelancing in London. I have played with all the major orchestras in London and played in the orchestra/band of most of the musicals in the West End during the 1980s and 1990s.
I had a career change because my son is autistic and I needed to be at home with him. Therefore I retrained in the field of neuroscience and became an Associate Lecturer with the Open University, as well as a researcher and Lecturer at University of Hertfordshire
How much do you charge?
If I need to travel then a reasonable amount will be charged for costs.
Group lessons are offered at substantial discounts.
Where do you teach?
I teach both at home, online and at students' homes.
When are you available?
I am available most days and evenings, apart from Sunday during the day.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and all levels.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I have CRB clearance.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I use Skype and Elluminate for tutoring online.

Tell me about some of your current students.
I am currently helping a student work through the modules for A level biology, EdExcel board.
I have some young trumpet students who are making excellent progress and really enjoy their lessons. Their enthusiasm is so infectious!

I am very happy to help you achieve your goals whatever your age, standard or level of achievements. I aim to make music/science enjoyable and fun for all.
