After years of working in various sectors, I am now in teacher training at the University of London.
I am also Grammar School educated
What kind of experience do you have?
I have tutored pupils from my students days through till today for about 12 years now.
At all levels ranging from 9 yrs to A/Levels
How much do you charge?
I charge £25 per hour for all Years up to GCSE and £30 per hour for A/Levels
I travel to most students and do NOT charge extra for travel.
I do NOT charge extra for siblings and small groups up to 3 pupils.
Where do you teach?
I live in Radlett and work in NW London, but I can travel pretty much anywhere between the two places; and also in the South Hertfordshire area. If in doubt please mail or call me. Alternatively you can come to my house. I have a car and travelling is certainly not an issue.
When are you available?
I am able to teach mainly in the evenings and weekends. Some weekdays are also possible. Please feel free to inquire.
I do NOT have any places at the moment for SUMMER 2010 EXAMS.
However, I DO have places for pupils taking exams next year and those that wish to study through the holiday periods to have head start.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I tutor pupils between the ages of 9 and 99.
Levels: GCSE, IGCSE, 11+, 13+ 11-16 year olds and Mature Students and Learners.
Adult numeracy and aptitude tests are also topics I specialize in.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes, I do.
I have an S.I.A licence which incorporates a CRB certificate.
Due to identity theft, I am NOT able to display it on a public website but if you want to make any enquiries, I am happy to give you my S.I.A licence number
and you can carry out a search through the S.I.A Government website.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I have both video and audio conferencing facility and online chat. I can also call your landline for free.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I belong to The Royal Aeronautical Society and The Institute of Physics.
Where and with whom did you train?
The University of London, Cambridge, AEB and EDEXCEL exam boards.
Tell me about some of your current students.
Almost all of my pupils have passed the 11+. I have successfully turned mediocre students into A* students at GCSE and A-Level exams.
My students go to J.F.S, St Helen's, Watford Grammar and Bushey Meads, Emmanuel College and Parmiters School
Do you have a personal message for students?
I am very student-focused and my approach to teaching is very animated, exciting and memorable. I know exactly the strengths and weaknesses of the student and my lessons are designed to tackle those weaknesses.
