Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach KS1 and KS2 - particularly Maths, Literacy and Science.
I would also be prepared to tutor adults in basic literacy and maths.
I specialise in preparation for KS2 SATs in both English and Maths

BA (Hons) in Economic and Social History, Social Policy and Administration
Post Graduate Certificate in Education
London Chamber of Commerce Private Secretaries Certificate


What kind of experience do you have?
2 years teaching as a Support Teacher in 3 different school teaching Nursery to Y7
15 years of class teaching - Y2 to Y6
Individual and group music lessons teaching flute


How much do you charge?
£20 per hour for KS1 and KS2 Maths, English and Science individual sessions.
£15 per hour per pupil for KS1 and KS2 Maths, English and Science for 2 or more pupils per session.
£20 per hour for proofreading, editing and typing reports, essays, dissertations and articles.
Initial meeting and getting to know each other session is offered free


Where do you teach?
Either in own home or pupils home - prepared to travel at small expenses charge for fuel.
Will travel within 30 mile radius of Sheffield - Doncaster, Rotherham and North Derbyshire.


When are you available?
Weekday evenings and weekends.
Also weekdays during school holidays if required as the SATs approach.


Which ages and levels do you teach?
Ages 5 - 11 + adult basic numeracy and literacy skills
KS1 and KS2 - all levels.

KS1 and KS2 SATs


Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes - full enhanced CRB check - latest one carried out in 2009.

Tell me about some of your current students.
Currently teaching in mainstream primary school in Y5. I am also tutoring pupils in Y4 and Y6 privately.


Do you have a personal message for students?
I started teaching later in life after doing a variety of jobs, mainly secretarial and have always loved teaching. The most important aspect of the job to me is building a relationship with my pupils built on mutual respect, instilling confidence and ensuring that my pupils are happy and secure as this is the key to learning success. I am a calm, methodical and very organised teacher and like to encourage parental involvement in a child's progress (at whatever level the parent is comfortable with). I am hugely experienced in assessing and target setting to NC levels but still like to make learning fun and interesting where possible.
