- I tutor Spanish from beginners, through to degree level.

- GCSE Spanish A A Level Spanish D BA International Business with Spanish Degree
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I studied in Spain as part of my degree for 6 months at the Universidad de Leon in the North of Spain. In my spare time there I taught English to Spanish students, which gave me experience from another angle: I improved my own Spanish through teaching English! I also worked for a year also as part of my degree course for a company in Madrid where very few people spoke English, so again I had great opportunity to work on my Spanish. I have taught a number of individuals over the last 9 years.
- How much do you charge?
- My charges are £20 an hour which includes worksheets, out of class help via email/telephone and any extra help required with choosing textbooks etc. Basically, anything extra I can do to help your language learning outside of actual tutoring time.
1st lesson is half price £10
Group Lessons , 3 or more are charged at a rate of £7 per person
Children 11 years and younger are charged at £9 per child - Where do you teach?
- At the moment I teach in my home as this is the preference of my current students, but I am able to teach at your home as well.
I am based in Swinton , South Yorkshire. I am willing to travel throughout Rotherham and I welcome students to my house form any area that you are willing to travel from. - When are you available?
- I am available for lessons Mondays and Tuesdays all day , Mon and Wed Evenings, also some Saturday and Sunday slots are available.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I am able to teach any age any level.
My current experience is with an adult male and a 7 year old. - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- GCSES AND A LEVELS
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I am looking into this and hope to complete the forms soon.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I have provided tutoring via MSN messenger with a past student and from time to time conduct telephone lessons with one of my current students.
I have my new email address set up solely for tutoring purposes and I plan to have a time frame in which your emails will be answered, also provide a phone service if you are stuck and need to call me. - Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- No, although I am hoping to start a translation qualification next year through the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I am hoping to join Chartered Institue of Linguists soon.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I currently tutor a male surgeon who planned to have some time working in Latin America and originally began tutoring for this, although that didn't happen, he is still having spanish tuition for pleasure.
I tutor a 7 year old boy who is progressing brilliantly and really enjoys the kids basic spanish course I have written. - Do you have a personal message for students?
- Don't hesitate learn Spanish now. For me, learning languages (I also speak Italian and French!) was the best thing I ever did. I truly believe that languages are the way forward in the world and, although many people believe that English is so widely spoken that it is not necessary, I believe that there is no substitute for being able to deal with people, business-wise and personally, in their own language.
