Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach English language and literature up to degree level and Italian language and literature up to GCSE level. I also proof-read essays, articles and dissertations.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a BA in English with Italian (First class honours) and an MA in English (Merit).

What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught children from as young as three-years-old, up to adults, via every stage of the UK education system. I have also taught adult literacy and English as a foreign language. My very varied proof-reading experience includes articles and essays on fashion, English literature and the pharmaceutical industry.

How much do you charge?
I charge £25 per hour all levels. Travel expenses will be added if I have to travel for more than 30 minutes each direction. I am happy to negotiate discounts for block-bookings or multiple siblings.

For proof-reading I charge £5 per 1000 words.

Where do you teach?
I am happy to teach at my home (near Dalston Kingsland Overground Station and bus routes 30, 38, 56, 67, 149, 236, 243, 242, 277) or travel to students' homes. I am willing to travel up to an hour from my home but will charge travel expenses for journeys over 30 minutes.

When are you available?
I am available every day from 10am-7pm, including weekends.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I have experience teaching children as young as 3-years-old, as well as adults.

Do you have a CRB disclosure certificate?
I hold a CRB disclosure certificate.

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I use email and Skype to set tasks, give feedback and have regular discussions with students.

Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the National Union of Journalists. I am a freelance arts and travel journalist, regularly commissioned by publications including the Daily Telegraph, Conde Nast Traveller and Times Online.

Do you have a personal message for students?
I am a very flexible and patient teacher who will respond to your individual needs. I think the best results are achieved when lessons can be fun and both student and teacher enjoy themselves.
