Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the Violin, the Viola and Music Theory.

Tell me about your qualifications.
I have an MMus degree in Performance and Research from the Royal Academy of Music.
As a teacher I have been awarded the LRAM teaching diploma by the Royal Academy of Music.

What kind of experience do you have?
I am a member of the First String Experience team at the Royal Academy of Music Junior Department, where I teach violin, viola, musicianship and ensemble skills to children between the ages of 4 and 7. During my studies I have led and participated in a number of educational schemes and workshops. I was involved in a project called "Raising the Roof", where I joint-led a series of workshops in primary schools around the London area, promoting string instruments. I later co-founded a series of workshops in schools around Kent which encouraged children to take up a musical instrument.

As a performer I have performed in the most prestigious concert venues in London, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican and St. John Smith’s Square, as well as on tour in Italy, France, Poland, Germany and Spain. I have performed concertos with the Torbay Symphony Orchestra, the Guildford Y Orchestra, the Situation Opera Orchestra and with the Sussex Baroque Ensemble. I have received coaching with artists such as Tasmin Little, Pieter Schoeman, and Walter Reiter. I am a keen chamber musician, notably receiving prizes such as the John Thompson Prize for String Quartet from Trinity College of Music, and the Vivien Joseph Prizes for Piano Trio and String Quartet from the Trinity Junior Department.

I have performed with the English National Ballet Orchestra, the Orpheus Sinfonia, the Young Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra, Charities Philharmonia, and the Canterbury Philharmonic Orchestra.
