About Joanna
- What kind of experience do you have?
For the past twelve years I have been providing tuition for pupils at all levels and have specifically tutored pupils for GCSE and Common Entrance exams for schools including King Edward's School, Prior Park, Beechen Cliff, St Gregory's, St Mark's, Millfield, Port Regis School and in London - Westminster Under, Millfield, Colet Court and City of London School. Prior to this I taught in one of London's top state schools.
I have experience teaching children with a variety of needs including dyslexia and autism spectrum disorder.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
I am currently tutoring several students who are taking their GCSE English exams next summer. I am preparing some ten year old students who are currently attending state primary schools and who wish to take Common Entrance for Bath independent schools in January 2019. I also currently teach some pupils with additional needs such as autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia and ADHD. I do some home schooling too.

I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of London's Institute of Education and I completed my teacher training in one of London's best state schools. I also have a degree in English.

I teach either at home in central in Bath.

I am available on weekdays and during school holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am very experienced in teaching all levels of English Language and Literature from ages 6-16. (Key Stage 1 to GCSE levels). I can also teach English at A-Level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare my students for 11+ Common Entrance, 13+ Common Entrance, GCSE and A-Level. I also have a lot of experience in preparing younger children for 7 and 8+ Common Entrance. (concealed information)

I am warm, approachable and upbeat and have a good understanding of how children learn. I am experienced in working with children with a wide range of different needs and from different backgrounds including children with English as a second language.
