- Friendly and patient. Learning should be fun active and relevant to the child's interests and needs. Lessons tailored to the child's abilities, learning styles and interests including suitable levels of challenge and praise to help them progress.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I am able to provide help with KS1 and KS2 English/Literacy (reading, writing, spelling or a combination of these), and KS1 and lower KS2 (Years 3 and 4) maths (children in Y5 or 6 working at this level more than welcome). I am happy to work with children who find the subject difficult and would like a little extra help and children who have specific special educational needs. My specialist subject is history and am happy to provide support for this subject at primary level also.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I am a fully qualified primary teacher (PGCE with QTS), qualifying in 2004. I also have a BA Hons in History and an MA in Museum Studies.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have been home tutoring for almost a year. The children I have tutored have gained in confidence, improved their skills and moved up groups in school within months.

I have been working in the education field for 10 years, in various roles. I was a primary teacher for 3 years, and a teaching assistant working with children with Special Educational Needs before that. I then moved into museum education and have most recently worked for Luton Museum Service in the education team, teaching a wide range of age groups and abilities on a regular basis. - How much do you charge?
- £20 per hour standard fee.
Travel at 44p/mile will be charged for students living outside a 15 mile round trip.
Discounts for group lessons/extra children may be available - please ask. - Where do you teach?
- Am happy to teach at my home or travel to students' homes.
Able to cover the Isle of Anglesey, Bangor, Y Felinheli, North Gwynedd - When are you available?
- Available during the day and evenings Monday to Sunday.
