I teach English, Maths & Science at the Primary Key Stages to all abilities, focussing particularly on SEN statemented pupils and those who need a little extra support.
Maths, Music & Psychology extend to the Secondary School Key Stages, and I offer instrumental lessons on Flute, Violin & Viola. - Tell me about your qualifications.
- I am a fully qualified teacher with a Bachelor's Degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have 10 years' experience teaching children and adults both in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis; subjects include English, Maths, Science, Music, Psychology and Instrumental Music. I currently teach classes at a Secondary School, and privately tutor individuals aged between 6 and 15 years. I also mentor trainee teachers in the Secondary classroom on their final teaching practice.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £25 an hour - all books and writing materials provided free of charge.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach at my own home on the outskirts of Rugby. This is within easy travelling distance of Coventry, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Warwick.
- When are you available?
- I teach during weekday evenings and on Saturdays. I have some vacancies available at the moment. Lessons during school holidays are more flexible and parents are free to request times they find convenient. Lessons missed are not charged.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- Maths - Key Stages 1, 2, 3 & GCSE. English - Key Stages 1 & 2. Science - Key Stages 1 & 2. Secondary Selection to all local Private Schools. 11+ and 13+ to Grammar Schools. Music & Psychology - GCSE. Instrumental Tuition - Violin, Viola & Flute.

- I have a current CRB disclosure certificate.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- I am a member of the General Teaching Council and the National Union of Teachers.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- My teacher training was from the University of Central England, Birmingham.
