BA (Hons) Interior Design - What kind of experience do you have?
- I have 15 years of experience using AutoCAD in various design orientated jobs.
I am currently an Interior Designer for IKEA and have taught beginners AutoCAD as a supply lecturer for Forth Valley College and one-to-one with companies in Edinburgh & Glasgow. - How much do you charge?
- I charge £40 per hour, this includes a manual and travelling expenses.
- Where do you teach?
- I can teach at the students address / office or a venue in between. I teach AutoCAD from my laptop and ideally the student should have a version of AutoCAD too. Ranging from Release 12 & 14 up to 2010 version.
- When are you available?
- I am predominently available in the evenings and weekends.
Teaching during the day is possible by appointment. - Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach beginners AutoCAD, so the age range is generally from 5th & 6th age at secondary school upwards.
Its never too late to learn a new skill. - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- A basic knowledge of AutoCAD is good grounding for a College or University course which has an AutoCAD element.
Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Industry etc all using AutoCAD as an integral part of their job.
Many companies are also training up their own staff to be competent in AutoCAD so that the basics can be achieved in-house saving the expense of outsourcing. - Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have a current Disclosure Scotland certificate,

- I use email and AutoCAD help desk to assist the students.

- I have taught at college as a supply lecturer for the past 2 years and have trained clients in the work place over a 8 month basis in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

- AutoCAD is a excellent skill to possess if you are looking for a career in Architectural Design, Construction, Engineering or the Manufacturing industries.
