Personal Message: I have a lot to offer a prospective student not just in regard to setting up good technique and practice habits but in being a musician as a whole.
Which subject(s) do you teach?: I teach beginner to advanced clarinet and saxophone, and beginner flute. I also teach klezmer clarinet.
Tell me about your qualifications.: I have a Bachelor of Music Degree (Hons) from Cardiff University, a Postgraduate Diploma and Masters with Distinction from the Birmingham Conservatoire.
What kind of experience do you have?: My own classical education has provided me with a good basis for teaching and through my years of study I have been fortunate to have a number of clarinet and saxophone students.
How much do you charge?: I charge £26 an hour but also offer half hour lessons for £17 and recommend this for students at beginner level.
Where do you teach?: I give lessons at my own home, the Birmingham Conservatoire, or I am willing to travel within the Moseley or Kings Heath area.
When are you available?: I can give lessons on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and am free at the weekend. I can also give lessons on some afternoons in the week.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I can teach any level clarinettist; whether the student is learning for an exam or for fun.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: I have an up-to-date CRB certificate.
