What kind of experience do you have?
I am currently working as a ICT technician, Website/VLE Developer at a local school (Thornaby Academy). Previously I worked at Eston Park school as a ICT technician, Website/VLE Developer and i did this job for 3 years.

I have had experience in the classroom. As part of my degree it was a requirement that we undertake a year long work placement. My placement took place at Macmillan Academy, where part of my time was spent as a classroom assistant helping the students that needed that little bit of help and encouragement.
I was also able to take many 6th form lessons in ICT/Computing.

In my final year of university I worked on the Student Associate Scheme. This provides students with the opportunity to gain experience in the classroom while also undertaking training sessions helping us to gain skills that can be used in teaching and in the classroom.

How much do you charge?
I charge travel expenses of £3 per visit (same price for a 2 hours session). For group lessons:- if it's a £20 lesson, for a group the price would be £35.

Where do you teach?
I am willing to travel to the student's home.
I am located in Linthorpe so would want to stay in the Middlesbrough area. It would also be possible to meet at the library in Middlesbrough town, if extra resources are needed.
I am also avaliable to tutor online. Methods include, MSN messenger, SKYPE and any other form of online communication that the student would require.

When are you available?
I am available any time after 4.30pm on weekdays, anytime on a weekend. I will be avaliable during the school holiday also.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
Any level is possible, as long as I have covered the subject on my list on my profile. You could email me with additional requests, and I'll see what I can do. I have had experience with most subjects either completing the course myself or helping my younger brother who sat his GCSEs. I have also had experience of working with students in my current job.

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes, a copy can be supplied for you. The most recent one was obtained in November 2008. You can contact me on the above email for details.
This is up for renewal and I a currently in the processes of updating it. (August 2010)

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I have a wide range of messenger services, including MSN, Yahoo and Aim.
I also have a Windows Meeting Space account, that comes with Windows Vista. It is the same as Netmeeting which is provided in all windows installations. This gives me the ability to take control of the students work space and show them the skills they need.

Over my years of working in school I have produced many resources, including help sheets, worksheets, and also electronic media in the forms of Camtasia videos.
I also have conferencing equipment (Webcam/Mic).

Check out files on my profile to see the sort of materials I create. More samples can be provided just drop me a email.

Where and with whom did you train?
My degree was taken at the University of Teesside. My A-levels, AS-level and GCSEs were taken at Macmillan Academy.
